Facilities and resources
Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning.
Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities
We offer a range of learning environments. They help students stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities may include:
- classrooms resourced for specific courses of study
- a carefully curated library for reading and research
- science labs for hands-on experiments
- sports facilities as teaching spaces as well as spaces for sporting and extracurricular activites
- art and performance spaces for creative learning
The library
In our library we offer a range of resources and services to support learning across our school. These include a range of physical resources, such as non fiction and fiction books as well as subscription magazines. Students also have access to online subscriptions such as Clickview and Encyclopaedia Britannica to support their studies.
The library directly supports the school curriculum by collaborating with every faculty to select resources which meet student learning needs. These include materials relating to syllabuses and study guides.
Classes regularly visit the library to utilise the facilities, borrow textbooks and equipment, and complete research tasks. The teacher librarian actively collaborates with the classroom teachers to develop each student's skills in information literacy and develop their skills for lifelong learning.
Students are able to borrow laptops and tablets from the circulation desk if needed, and can charge their own devices at the charging lounges available in the library.
Students must use their student cards to borrow laptops, textbooks, library resources and to book study rooms.
Students can access the library catalogue, known as Oliver, online through their student portal. The catalogue is available 24/7 with an internet connection so students are able to search for resources or renew their loans at school or at home.
Students can borrow up to five non-fiction items for a period of one week and two fiction items for a period of two weeks. Late returns may lead to a loss of borrowing and the use of library facilities.
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.
