Technological and applied studies

In technological and applied studies, students develop knowledge, understanding and skills through a design and production process using a range of tools, materials and techniques in theory and practical lessons.

At St Marys Senior High School, many of these Stage 6 (Year 11 and Year 12) subjects are on offer. Please refer to the information sheets below which outline the details of these courses.

Design and Technology

Engineering Studies

Enterprise Computing - this is a new course on offer for the first time for Year 11 in 2024.

Exploring Early Childhood

Hospitality Food and Beverage (VET Curriculum Framework)

Industrial Technology Multimedia Industries

Information Processes and Technology - this is only available for the HSC course in 2024, due to new syllabuses being introduced by NESA.

Software Design and Development - this is only available for the HSC course in 2024, due to new syllabuses being introduced by NESA.

Software Engineering - this is a new course on offer for the first time for Year 11 in 2024.
