Bell times

Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.

As per our school's organisation as a young adult learning environment, students only need to be at school when they have timetabled classes. This allows students to adjust their arrival and departure times from school, to best meet their home study needs.

As shown below, all school days start at 8.20 am.

Most school days for Year 11 will conclude at 2.40 pm except for Tuesday, which may see Year 11 students attending classes until 4.00 pm (depending on their timetabled classes).

Most school days for Year 12 will also conclude at 2.40 pm except for Tuesday - unless they study a class on Line 8. These students will find that scheduled classes on other school days may be found during Period 5 which means their classes will stretch to 4.00 pm.

At times we need to adjust our bell times, due to a range of school activities. We notify our school community of these adjusted bell times in our school newsletter.

In particular, at times we run tests for our students during our "Period 0" time slot, which allows students in courses with big cohorts to do their tests at the same time. Days running a Period 0 time slot are shown on our school calendar as well as being detailed in our school newsletter.
